Jodie and Steven were living hundreds of miles apart when they first met on Christian Connection. Jodie had recently moved back to the UK and was living in West Sussex, and Steven was living in Scotland. Steven said, “I wanted to meet someone who was aligned with me spiritually and had the same mindset and same love for God as well as love for people. I wanted a godly woman.”
Jodie had been through some big changes: “After many years of being a single missionary abroad working with kids all over the world who were with abandoned or trafficked, I ended up making the decision to stay in the UK permanently after a civil war broke out in Myanmar where I was working and decided to try online dating.” She said, “I’d tried several different apps, and then thought, You know what, I’m just going to give this one a whirl. And actually, it was the jackpot, because I found my husband…”
